THE ÖTZTAL VALLEY AND ITS RESORTS In the Ötztal valley you will find resorts between 700 meters and 2000 meters above sea level. You have everything to choose from, from a reclusive small village with picture post card panorama, to a trendy village with all the makings of an “in spot”. There is something for everyone guaranteeing a wonderful vacation in heart of the Alps. The Ötztal valley is the perfect place to enjoy your sport. The pistes are expertly groomed to ensure you enjoy an unforgettable skiing experience. Our modern ski lifts will take you up to 3,250 meters, where the snow mass is guaranteed for every one who loves skiing. Each day can provide new skiing experiences, the skiing area being so large and accessible that it is easy to get the feeling of being lost to the world for a few days. Sölden ski- and glacier resort Sölden is a synonym for the full force of winter - renowned for its Alpine Skiing World Cup races and the outstanding quality of slopes for both skiers and snowboarders throughout the winter season. The area boasts 34 ski lifts and gondolas, plus more than 149.5 km of immaculate slopes spread over two ski mountains - Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch – and two ultimate glacier ski areas. Whether you prefer the ‘Snowboarder's Park’ at Giggijoch, the ‘Race Course’, ‘Easy Cross’ or Mogul runs - the choice is all yours! Sölden's great winter ski area is directly connected to the glacier slopes via a number of ski lifts and gondolas called Golden Gate to the Glacier. BIG 3 Incomparable BIG3 viewing platforms! Sölden didn’t stop at the modernization of the lifts and gondolas, the arrival of the ski lifts ‘Top Stations’ have provided an experience for all senses to enjoy. These platforms provide the most amazing views from three different aspects of the Ötztal valley. The motto is stop, look and enjoy the view, not to simply disembark, turn round and set off. Three peaks higher than 3,000m are accessible on skis: Gaislachkogl 3.058 m Tiefenbachkogl 3.249 m Schwarze Schneide 3.340 m SKI HUTS No less than 20 huts and mountain restaurants within the ski area offer you a warm welcome! Rustic mountain huts, umbrella bars and spacious free-flow restaurants cater for all tastes. Great après-ski ambience is also a guarantee. Obergurgl – Hochgurgl ski resort Because of its high location at an altitude of 1,800m – 3,080m you can enjoy unlimited skiing fun on broad slopes above the tree line. In Obergurgl-Hochgurgl you can enjoy skiing on 110km of wide slopes. The 23 modern lifts ensure that you spend more time on the slopes than queuing for the lift. It is a paradise for sporty skiers as well as pleasure-seeking skiers. The connecting gondola between Obergurgl and Hochgurgl, which takes you high above the Königstal and Verwalltal valleys allow skiers to admire the stunning Alpine scenery and the surrounding glaciers while enjoying a unique ride with this panoramic gondola. Längenfeld The Aqua Dome blends perfectly into the contours of the valley. Thanks to the use of wood, stone and light, the outstanding building reflects the landscape and mountains that surround it. The Aqua Dome spa offers an extensive indoor and outdoor program and a spa experience with a difference. The “Ursprung” spa dome features 34°C – 36°C-warm water. The fitness pools with underwater fitness appliances and the glazing that surrounds the entire dome guarantee an unique experience. From here you can enjoy the fascination of the Ötztal glaciers, even in the winter. The highlights of the “Talfrische” outdoor spa are three bowl-shaped, suspended basins containing salt-water, relaxing hydro and natural spring water respectively. Vent Vent, Tyrol’s mountain village, is located on an altitude of 1,900m (approx. 18km from Sölden) and is set amidst a breathtaking mountain landscape. Here you can enjoy winter, sports and nature. The summits are glittering and the village is wrapped in soothing silence.
