Hiking The tztal Alps, with Austrias second highest mountain the Wildspitze (3,768m), cover an area of some 2,500km, more than a tenth of which are glaciers. The tztal Alps are one of the biggest and most Alpine regions of the Eastern Alps. From early spring through to late autumn you can enjoy unlimited mountain holidays thanks to a great variety of walking paths and hiking trails also in lower Alpine areas. More than 50 serviced mountain huts and inns await you amid the most breathtaking landscapes of tztal valley. Mountainbiking The tztal valley is the place for lovers of mountain biking! Beginners through to professionals can find perfect routes with great scenery. You can choose a variety of routes from easy to slightly ascending and truly difficult. The tztal valley is a paradise for bikers. Get to know the area in an unobtrusive and polite way. Quiet trail passages along the tztal Ache river provide easy riding and give plenty of time for enjoying the landscape along the way. Brief ascents are followed by relaxing flat passages. Rafting The conditions in the tztal valley are ideal for all kinds of rafting at all skill levels. Young pirates from 4 years of age can try family rafting and enjoy a treasure hunt afterwards as a reward for their bravery. Canyoning The tztal valley, with its numerous gorges, waterfalls and mountain brooks is a paradise for canyoning. Due to the various of structures of the gorges, guests can enjoy tours at different levels of difficulty. Tours range from those tailored to beginners and children to very difficult, such as the Auer Klamm gorge in Oetz. Jumps from a height of 16m guarantee adrenaline kicks. The combination of water and rock, hiking, abseiling, jumping and swimming makes canyoning a sport with a difference. Accompany us through the gorges of the tztal valley Climbing It's really amazing how experienced climbers move on the rocks. In the tztal valley there are all sorts of routes with different levels of difficulty. The view of the valley is fantastic from this perspective. Paragliding One happily loses one's footing when enjoying a tandem flight in the tztal valley. Thanks to the ideal thermal lift and the breath-taking views from the Zugspitze mountain to the Wildspitze mountain. The tztal valley is popular amongst kings of the skies far beyond the border. Culture With 3 traditional museums and places like the old Rofenhfe farms or the Farst village, the tztal valley also offers also many sights seeing placse for interested visitors who want to discover how life in the alps was centuries ago. Historical sites date back to long-forgotten times.
